Perfect 10: What do you wear to bed?
Carla: Nothing.
Perfect 10: How late do you sleep in the morning?
Carla: Lately I've been getting up at 6 a.m. because I'm so busy.
Perfect 10: Doing what?
Carla: I've been working on two television shows, so that means early call times.
Perfect 10: Are you capable of stopping of slowing down?
Carla: Oh yeah, I'm going to Spain soon, I'll be gone for two weeks. I will be visiting my family and having a wonderful time. I try to see them once a year.
Perfect 10: Are you originally from Spain?
Carla: Yes. I'm from Valencia. I was raised there till the age of 9 and have lived in California ever since.
Perfect 10: Was Valencia a good place to grow up?
Carla: Spain is the most awesome place in the world. It's a different world. People in Spain have a good time and family comes first. The nightlife there is amazing and so is the food.
Perfect 10: What business are your parents in?
Carla: my mom has her own condo management business and my dad is an architect and a music fanatic. He used to make me listen to classical music but I never really got into it. I'm a little too hyper for classical music.
Perfect 10: How hyper?
Carla: I was very hyper and very skinny. My mom thought there was something wrong with me because I was always laughing and she couldn't shut me up. I'm almost always in a good mood. I think life is great. I really try to enjoy everyone and everything. It's all about laughing and being positive.
Perfect 10: Was your family wealthy?
Carla: We were well off.
Perfect 10: How did you end up moving to America?
Carla: My mom's sisters live here. We came out to visit for Christmas vacation and my mom decided to stay.
Perfect 10: Did that split the family up?
Carla: No, my dad came straight out here from Spain and we all lived together in Oxnard, and hour north of L.A. I have an older brother and sister.
Perfect 10: Did you suffer culture shock when you moved to the U.S.?
Carla: Totally. I especially hated the food. I'd grown up on the best food and when I moved here they were trying to give me Sloppy Joes and burritos. I was like, "What the hell is this?"
Perfect 10: Did you keep up the good grades all through school?
Carla: I always got pretty good grades but I wasn't too into school. It bored me to just sit in class and listen to an instructor, especially if the instructor didn't make that extra effort to make whatever the topic was interesting. I just wanted to know what my homework was so I could go home and do it on my own time. I did appreciate school though. You learn a lot of valuable information and you learn a lot about yourself. Education is very important and I would love to go back to school now that I am older and wiser. I'm also a little bit less hyper so maybe now I could sit still in class.
Perfect 10: Were you popular?
Carla: I guess I was. I knew and got along with almost everyone.
Perfect 10: Did you get a senior superlative?
Carla: Yes, I was voted "best body" by my high school. In the sixth grade I was voted funniest and class clown. Isn't it funny how people look at you differently when you turn into a woman? Receiving a compliment like "best body" is great but I prefer "funniest."
Perfect 10: did you hang out in a group?
Carla: Sure, I had a group of class friends that I hung out with, but for the most part, I had and older boyfriend hat I was with all the time. I also had work release, so I would leave school early and go to work. I was never too involved with high school activities.
Perfect 10: Were you mean or nice to the school nerds?
Carla: Oh gosh, I'm never mean to anyone. I actually get along with "nerds." To be honest, I like nerds. I mean, what is the definition of a nerd? Someone intellectual? Someone who prefers to study instead of going out and trying to get laid? That turns me on. I love smart men.
Perfect 10: Did you ever get into any serious trouble?
Carla: When I was 17 years old, I walked out of a party with a beer in my hand. An officer happened to be walking by and saw me. He gave me a ticket for being a minor in possession of alcohol. I went to court and they assigned my a probation officer. I had to check in with him periodically for a few months and that was all. Then I turned 18, he called and asked me out. I didn't even know what to say. I nearly dropped the phone. I was like, "Oh my gosh, that's sick/" I thought he was calling as a concerned adult to see if I was staying out of trouble. I guess not.
Perfect 10: Does that happen a lot with older guys?
Carla: Sure, older guys ask me out. That's nothing unusual now, but when you are 18 it is.
Perfect 10: When did you realize you loved being in front of a camera?
Carla: People kept approaching me about it and I would always blow them off. But then I went to Spain for a summer and had an epiphany. I knew what I wanted to do. I came back to California and by chance I met a lady who gave me a card to her agency. I called her the next day and it snowballed from there. I started booking a lot of stuff pretty quickly - commercials, music videos, modeling jobs.
Perfect 10: Do you like to be the center of attention?
Carla: I don't have to be the center of attention. I like to hang out with very strong-willed intelligent people and when you're with people like that, everyone is the center of attention. You're all discussing things.
Perfect 10: What do you and your friends discuss?
Carla: We talk about everything and anything. Most of my friends are guys and we are all very blunt.
Perfect 10: Are you good at advising them about girls?
Carla: Oh yeah, I give really good advice. My mom always told me I should be a psychologist. I'm very honest and I just think you shouldn't waste your time with the bullshit.
Perfect 10: What about your love life?
Carla: I date occasionally. But I haven't really met anyone that is up to my standards. I'm very picky.
Perfect 10: Are you dating anyone now?
Carla: I'm kind of seeing this guy but it's nothing serious.
Perfect 10: Do you have a "no sex on the first date" policy?
Carla: Oh yeah, for sure. I want to be in love with the person before I make love to them. I don't think you can be in love after one date.
Perfect 10: So no casual sex for you?
Carla: I think sex is great, but until I meet the right person, I'm fine without it. PERFECT 10: What's the most sensitive part of your body?
Carla: That's a secret.
Perfect 10: Do you like Spanish guys?
Carla: Oh, I definitely wouldn't mind marrying a Spaniard because I would love to live and raise a family in Spain. But I don't need to restrict myself to any race. Plus, there are not too many Spaniards in California.
Perfect 10: Are you a family girl?
Carla: I talk to my parents every day.
Perfect 10: What's your idea of a great night out?
Carla: Having dinner overlooking the ocean, then going out for some cocktails, getting a good buzz and dancing it off.
Perfect 10: Dream job?
Carla: To be in a movie. Produce it, Star in it, and have one of my songs in the soundtrack.
Perfect 10: What lengths would you go to get what you want?
Carla: What respectfully needs to be done.
Perfect 10: Are you prepared to be ruthless?
Carla: I want to succeed because of my talents and hard work. I would never do anything scandalous to get ahead. But there's no doubt in my mind that I will succeed.
